website, so let me take a moment
and explain. In 2004 I was
commissioned to paint a portrait of
an elderly neighbor. The one
stipulation given was that the painting
would be a representation of her at
an earlier point in her life. After
searching through old photographs
we came upon a one from he 1930's
when she preformed on Broadway. I
then heard humorous stories of her
experiences of being in New York
City in the 1930's. It seemed that the
experiences she recalled she held
